Advanced Breast MRI with CADstream

At Tower Imaging Valencia, we offer advanced Breast MRI with CADstream as part of our comprehensive breast imaging services. This leading-edge technology provides the highest sensitivity in detecting invasive ductal cancer, the most common form of breast cancer, often reaching nearly 100% sensitivity for invasive cases. By combining contrast-enhanced imaging with computer-assisted diagnostic software, Breast MRI is transforming the way breast cancer is diagnosed and treated.

Why Choose Breast MRI?

Breast MRI with intravenous contrast is the most sensitive imaging test available today for detecting invasive breast cancer. While mammography and ultrasound remain vital tools, Breast MRI can reveal cancers that may not be detected by other methods, offering women and their physicians earlier, clearer answers.

The CADstream Advantage

Using the Philips Achieva 1.5T MRI, Tower Imaging Valencia can simultaneously image both breasts in multiple planes. Every 60 seconds after contrast injection, detailed serial images are acquired and analyzed with CADstream software, which applies advanced color mapping. This technology allows radiologists to:

  • Interpret thousands of images quickly and accurately
  • Differentiate benign from malignant changes using color-coded blood flow mapping
  • Detect abnormal tumor angiogenesis linked to breast cancer
  • Improve diagnostic confidence in complex breast imaging cases

Expert Radiologists, Comprehensive Care

Our fellowship-trained breast imaging specialists integrate Breast MRI results with each patient’s history, mammograms, and ultrasound findings. This ensures every report provides a clear, specific recommendation tailored to the patient’s care plan. With state-of-the-art equipment and subspecialty expertise, Tower Imaging Valencia delivers the most accurate and comprehensive breast imaging available today.

What to Expect During a Breast MRI

  1. Preparation: You may receive an IV contrast agent to enhance image clarity. This is generally safe, though patients should inform the technologist of any prior reactions.
  2. Positioning: You will lie face down on a cushioned table with both breasts placed in a specialized “breast coil.”
  3. Scanning: The table advances into the MRI machine. The exam typically lasts 15–25 minutes, with total time in the exam room around 45 minutes.

After Your Breast MRI

Following the exam, your images are carefully reviewed by a board-certified radiologist with expertise in breast MRI. A detailed report is then sent to your physician, who will discuss the results with you and recommend next steps. Our goal is to provide clarity, confidence, and actionable answers for every patient.
